Here is an introduction PowerPoint with gifs. Also the tic-tac-toe game is in there with instructions for Spy. Also a guess the picture (good for a hook) and Last Man Standing Game (kids loved this game).

I used a Big Wheel Game that someone posted earlier but tweaked it. Made it a little more user-friendly and fluid with moving from one slide to the next. Wrote the rules more simply with added pics because the kids are elementary.

You can use it for the reading and writing portions, as well as the review section.

Credit to the original maker and feel free to edit as you please.

Here are what I have been using for my 5th grade class.
Newspaper project's done in the Project section.
Bingo can be used in any period.
Cowboy game can be used during the reading and speaking periods (3 or 4)
Speed reading's also a warm up I used for one of my lessons.

Hope you find some of these useful~ :)

I made a "Catch a Stickman" game. It's a reading activity. My co-teacher had the template, I just modified it to this chapter. So students have to draw 10 stickmen on a grid. Then the teacher randomly picks 2 students (I drew numbers out of a jar). Each student reads a sentence, 1 from the column and the other one from the row (like Battleship). When students combine the 2 sentences, that's the square everyone has to cross out. If a student has a stickman there, they should circle it. The first student(s) to get all 10 stickmen win.

Also, here's a matching card game. Students match the present tense verb with the past tense one. We taught them all the verbs previously. You may change them if want.

Worksheet to go with lesson 1. I usually like to work on vocabulary first and have them complete a worksheet along with the dialogue in the book (due to having double period 5th grade). All directions are in Korean (and even then students will continually ask me what they are supposed to do).

Part A: The wall picture slides are cut in half and taped to the walls. Students will get up and walk around the room to find the picture that corresponds to the vocab list in Korean. The student will then write down the vocabulary word in English.

Part B: Student will plug in the vocab words found for part A in order to check and see if they are correct.

Part C: Students will conjugate the regular verbs to the past tense (since my students studied past tense verbs in 4rth grade)

Part D: Students will draw a line to the matching past tense form for the irregular verbs.

Part E: Students will see if they can put the sentences in order based off of common sense and the Korean above.

Part F: Students will fill out the dialogue using the Korean and the vocabulary they learned earlier.

Part G: Students will complete the sentences in the past tense.

Part H: Students will search for the past tense verbs from parts C and D.

Part I: Students will complete the question expression. They will then respond with 2 things that they did "last week" and draw pictures of those 2 activities in the boxes below.

This worksheet is super long, and students can work individually or in a group. No matter what, it should take a while for them to get through the document. I am planning to also review the past tense from last year as a refresher for my students (again, I have a double period of 5th grade and only meet with this class 1nce a week)

I'm letting my students choose the game for review day, one class requested the Doraemon game. I just edited the template with Lesson 7 thangs. Hope someone can use it!
