Here is something easy for elementary school students.

It's called Halloween Hand Bat craft.

I used this for one day during my Summer Camp and the kids loved it. 

(The worksheets are all from Bogglesworld- we had to delete the names for transfer to Hangeul processing)

Having looked at the documents, it seems like a really good lesson plan. However, I'm wondering what level your students are at? I think a lot of the vocabulary, expressions, and hints would probably be too complicated for even my 6th grade students.

Hi all, I need some advice. I wanted to do a halloween song with my second graders, but am having trouble finding a good one. I remember doing "Skin and Bones" when I was in elementary school, but am not sure if it is ok to do here. I have a ppt to go with it, but do you think it is suitable for them? I think so, but want some opinions. Also, if you know any other good halloween songs please let me know. Thanks!

Is Skin and Bones a song or a story?  I don't see a problem with showing it to second graders myself, but then I grew up with Halloween.  Maybe ask a co-teacher what he/she thinks before going ahead with it.

Well, it depends on what you want them to do with the song.  Do you want them to sing the whole thing?  Just the exciting, easy parts?  Listen and follow your gestures/dance?  Answer questions about it?  Depending on the activity, there are all kinds of different songs you could potentially use, like:

Thriller
This is Halloween (or a number of others from The Nightmare Before Christmas)
The Addams Family theme
Ghostbusters theme
Caspar the Friendly Ghost

I can't think of anything they could definitely sing all the way through, but Genki English has a Halloween theme song.  It's not that exciting... just a lot of nonsense with monsters becoming food or something.  It's on youtube, so you could easily snag it with keepvid.

I'm not sure how much 1st and 2nd-grade students will appreciate Nightmare Before Christmas, especially Korean students.  My kids seem to be really easily freaked out.  I showed my 6th grade students the video for "This Is Halloween" and some of them had issues with the creepier characters.  Sixth. Grade.  Think carefully about the content of the movie and your kids' maturity level and taste.  Depending on your group, it might or might not be appropriate. 

There are some Halloween games you might like at eslkidstuff.com.  For non-educational Halloween activities, you might try this site.There are some other activities at http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/halloween.htm, including some super-simple Halloween origami.  Your kids should be able to pull off the mummy for sure, since it doesn't involve any precise half-folds or anything, like so many origami patterns do. 

Depending on the size of your class, the simple Spiders and Candy vocabulary game from MES-English might be a good fit for an educational Halloween activity.

When kids get to school they will be taken to Hollywood class and will be explained how to trick or treat with role playing and make their own bags for trick or treating Other teachers will be in their rooms with doors shut with candy to give to students. All students will go in a group together with 2 or 3 teachers to get treats from teachers. After their finished getting treats bring them to the gym area for games

Games all games can be played in Gym area
Each game/art project that a student wins they get candy!   

Toilet paper mummy bride-Divide the children into groups of three to five kids. Select one child in each group to be a mummy. Then give the other children a roll of toilet paper or crepe paper. Instruct them to wrap the mummy with the paper, leaving the eyes, nose and mouth uncovered. The first group to be done with their roll of paper wins.

Musical Pumpkins-Like musical chairs but each student makes their own paper pumpkin to sit on.

Pass the Pumpkin - This game is a variation on "hot potato” Play Halloween party music as they pass the pumpkin, and periodically stop the music. Whoever is holding the pumpkin is out
Pumpkin Penny Toss- Carve out a large pumpkin, making a wide opening at the top. Give each child a handful of pennies. Have them stand an appropriate distance from the pumpkin and try to toss the pennies in, one at a time
Doughnuts on a string- hang doughnut from string and have the kids race to see who can eat their entire doughnut with their hands behind their backs first.
Snap Apple- same as doughnuts on a string but more traditional
Arts/games/worksheets
Pin the nose on the pumpkin- same as pen the donkey for birthday party.
Bone man-make skeletons poster board mounted on a wall. Hide the bones in the gym. Teacher calls out which bone to find and put on skeleton. The first team to correctly complete its skeleton wins.

Make your own ghost/monster and put on the wall
