I use these kinds of tongue twisters
http://

This one is tongue twister with music. I did this one with 4th grade students!
At first, they told me that it is too hard one for them. But after practicing, now they really enjoy this one~

I have been using these in the morning as well!

My favorite so far has been the woodchuck riddle, just because I used the Geico woodchucks commercial and that cracks me up! The kids had a hard time with that one, and it was hard for them to remember later.

So far the kids have been able to remember I Scream You Scream weeks later and HE THREW THREE FREE THROWS

Since I have been using these, my middle schoolers will come up to me in the hallway weeks later just to try to get one of the tongue twisters out!
I usually have a race, finals round, one winner chosen by class. I have noticed that everyone in the class  practices even if they will never try for the race, so that makes me really happy.

Looking for a list of riddles
« Reply #10 on: July 21, 2011, 10:54:30 AM »
Hello good people. I am looking for a long list of riddles I can read to my first grade class. Their English is pretty good but the riddles should still work for EFL students. Any links or resources are welcome.
THANKS!

Here is a riddle lesson I did awhile ago--I asked the questions, let them think them over and guess answers on their worksheet, then went back and gave them the answers.

I did a tongue twisters challenge day in English Club. We read Fox in Socks, then had a contest to see who could read the tongue twisters from the book the fastest. I got the ppt elsewhere on Waygook, and was unable to re-upload it. It can be found in the Elementary Index of Everything-stories.
