This is a speaking game which requires the cards in the back of the book on page 29.
The ppt attached are instructions on how to play the game. Grade 3 students have a really low level of English hence the visual aid will help them understand better.
1) Rip the 8 picture cards from page 29 out.
2) If your students are sitting in rows, one row will stay seated and the other row will get up and move.
3) First with the person sitting next to you. Play rock paper scissors.
4) Winner gets a present and the loser gives the present.
5) The student who lost says: Happy Birthday! This is for you.
W: What's this?
: It's a __________.
W: Thank you.
: You're welcome.
6) Move to the next seat and play again.
7) Student with the most cards win.
