this is a variation on my 3 Kingdoms Battle PPT uploaded last year.

This time the game plays on a global scale, with several recognizable countries included.

The main mechanical improvement is that the board is much bigger, giving teams more time to expand before they start clashing into each other.

Be warned, this game can get aggressive/unfair/argumentative if it goes on for a long time, since teams have to choose who else to attack and weaken. But for the most part, it's usually a very motivating way to get students writing.

I made a USA version of this game based off your ideas and template, because I wanted to do a game like it in my America themed winter camp. I'm calling it "Civil War". The only difference is that teams try to take over all of the states (I've merged some of them to make 21 states instead of 50).
