Scoreboard Help
« on: July 27, 2015, 10:20:37 am »
Hey guys. Wasn't sure where to put this, but here goes nothing. I'm in the midst of making a PPT game and I believe I have all but one thing set to go. I used a scoreboard from another game to save time because I didn't know how to make my own. The problem is, I can't figure out how to save the scores. That is, when the kids choose a question, and answer correctly, it takes them to the scoreboard. Then the next team goes, and when we get to the board, the scores are saved. So if team 1 has 10 points and team 2 has 5 points, i want that 10 and 5 points to still be there when team 3 gets there. It works fine when I just click on it, but going back to the slide later resets the whole thing. Please help! I'll add a test thing so you can see what I mean. I need it to work for one of my camp days. ><

I'm pretty sure that I can fix this for you. I think you are using PPT 2010, and a glitch in that version causes that problem. Could you upload the whole file?

Yes, 2010 version. The file is too big to attach here, though. What should I do?

Hi,

I have the exact same problem with the Fox Bomb game. There is one slide that takes me back to the points slide and resets all the scores. Not sure how to fix it. I've tried editing the hyperlink. Any advice please?

Unfortunately, the fix is a lot more complicated than editing hyperlinks. I don't have the time right now to change it, but you can try using PowerPoint Viewer 2007. The scoreboard won't reset when using that program.
