Prison Escape bomb game
« on: October 19, 2015, 07:45:33 am »
***EDIT: I have removed this material. I had uploaded it with the understanding that it was being provided as a free service to my fellow teachers here, but the site admin has decided to lock it behind a paywall. I object to that quite strongly, and will be removing all of my content as a result. I will update this post with more information when I find somewhere new to host it for free.***

Got another one for y'all.

This one has a prison escape theme.

It's meant to be played with three teams. No more, no fewer.

The teams have to help their ninja escape.

Click a tool to make a bar disappear. Click it again to make it reappear.

As always, try it before using it in class to make sure it works on your computer.

Enjoy!

This looks amazing, but the tools reappear. ㅠㅠ Maybe I can figure out how to make them 'stay gone'...

The tools aren't actually meant to disappear. They're buttons so if you click them once, a bar will disappear, but if you click them again, the bar will reappear. I did it that way so that when a team gets a "steal one" slide, the team they steal something from will have a bar added back.

I suppose it'd be simple enough a fix if you want to make it so they disappear after one use, though. Do whatever you need to do to make it work best for you!

EDIT: If you mean that the bars are reappearing when they aren't supposed to, then that's probably a powerpoint compatibility issue. Sadly, some animations/functions don't work consistently between versions of powerpoint. That's why I always recommend taking a newly downloaded PPT for a test drive on the computer you'll be presenting it with before actually using it in class.

Yes, sorry. They're reappearing when they're supposed to be gone for that specific team. I wish Powerpoint would get on the same page about their updates because I feel like all of them are hovering around the same version but none of them are exactly up to date --- which makes things like this difficult to make compatible. Blah.

Thanks so much!  This is a change from the usual bomb review game and I think my students will like it :)
