Apologies in advance for creating a new thread for this -- the continuous stream of single post threads bothers me too -- but sticking it in any of the textbook threads will mean it'll only be of use to a small subset of people.
This is a blank "My Winter Vacation" comic similar to the "My Summer Vacation" one posted mid-year.
It has five main panels covering each of the following verbs:
put on, went to, saw, played, ate
The final panel is just "It was..." and can be filled with either a temperature (too bloody cold) or opinion (fun, boring).
All of this stuff is revision of the 4th grade texts, but the activity scales well. I've included a PPT to help with brainstorming objects for each verb prior to handing out the worksheet. Don't forget to include possessive adjectives/articles when writing up your collocation explosion chart on the board. If you have the time, a great motivation is to make a six slide presentation of your holiday happy snaps mirroring the comic's panels. Start with that, have the students repeat the verbs aloud on each slide. Then, go through the PPT re-eliciting them.
