Everyday Hero. Miracle on the Hudson. ppt

This is a lesson for grade 1 and 2 middle school students. It's about the Miracle on the Hudson River water landing of flight 1549. It is a lesson that highlights a heroic act.
There are videos embedded on the ppt but if they don't play then the links are included on the ppt. There is a golden bell quiz at the end. Just be careful not to scroll onto the answer before the students write it down. ;D

I was looking for something on heroes and this was perfect - thank you!

I used the Sully/Hudson River bits to introduce the idea of everyday heroes and students then had to make a poster of an everyday hero.  I don't want to upload the same file twice, but you can find it here. The file is called "week 5 - everyday heroes".
