Want to buy CELTA books

HI I just got accepted into CELTA for October (yikes that's close!).
 I need to buy a few books asap. Does anyone have these books to sell and mail asap. Especially the first book.

1.  The Practice of English Language Teaching – Jeremy Harmer (Pearson)Longman
2.  Learning Teaching – Jim Schrivener (Macmillan)
3.  How to Teach English – Jeremy Harmer (Pearson Longman)
4.  English Grammar in Use – Raymond Murphy (CUP)

6.  Practical English Usage – Michael Swan (OUP

Hey! Congrats on getting into the CELTA class!

It's a tough course, but don't psych yourself out with all the reading. If there's one thing you should do, it's brush up on your grammar and international phonetic alphabet skills.
If you do, you'll have a definite advantage and save yourself a lot of stress during the course. They'll teach you the rest as you go!

yes, good advice. and i wouldn't even bother touching the books until you need them for references in your assignments.

I did the CELTA, I also went and bought the book

2.  Learning Teaching – Jim Schrivener (Macmillan)
I have it here, what a waste of $45 , never needed it.


However we never used any of them, although my CELTA was all in-class stuff for 4 weeks...or was it 2 weeks intensive ?

Anyways, you definitely won't need all those books.

As mentioned by Gepikfail....grammar (tenses, you won't realise how little you know until you actually have to study it) and phonetics
