High School Grade 1: Using Technology
« on: June 09, 2011, 07:39:13 am »
I was very uninspired by the textbook and made a pretty boring lesson but the students really enjoyed this, especially talking about the different websites they use. A lot of the time is spent on students reading out their dialogues after some practice time. I choose one pair to stand up and read, then they can choose the next pair, and so on for about 4 or 5 pairs. For the higher levels when they are doing the dialogue in the various styles (shy, angry etc) they can change the words if they want to and impro a bit - that's always funny.
Here is the prezi: http://prezi.com/baoxau6vrctu/using-technology

This lesson is pretty interesting. I'm thinking about using it. But how did their recognition of the sites go over? Other than the super popular western sites (google, youtube, etc.) how much did your students recognize western sites?

They knew all the ones in the prezi. From the worksheet, I now know that they use sites called nate, pimang, ebsi, and melon which you might want to include but I wanted to stick to the sites we had in common so I only included western sites I thought they would know and korean sites that I have used.

Awesome I'll be using this next week. I'm kind of confused on the bingo thing. There is no section on your worksheet for bingo.... Or on the presentation. Should there be one? Could you explain?

Thanks.

Also the translate the message section... you left a translate key...but no messages - just blank phones. Was there a message originally? Thanks.
