Look no further than BBC
« on: July 14, 2011, 09:30:23 pm »
Perhaps it's too obvious and so no one else bothered posting it, but BBC has a section specifically for english learners here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/

and a personal favourite:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/ingredients

great for food vocabulary... including gorgeous pictures!

This is great. Good exposure to a different accent.
I'm doing a sports lesson next week and the video on Dong-Hyun will be great.
Thanks for the post.

Yep, love BBC's "Learning English" resource.  I'm going to do a London Olympics theme for my summer camp this year, and I'm hoping to get some good material from this site.

Yup, thanks for the link. Natalie, the presenter is a good friend of mine. I'll let her know her work is coming in handy!

Wow great link, recommend the 'How to' section, I've just been using it for my coteachers English conversation class and they loved it, the examples of informal/formal greetings and small talk are explained very clearly, excellent for coteachers!
