This is a pretty simple powerpoint I made a while back, but I figured I would share it. I had to do a lesson on going green. To start the lesson out. (I have high school students) I did pictionary drawing different topics we were going to discuss such as: recycling, wind farms, herbicide... This gave me a good idea of how much the students already knew about going green in English. It also showed me immediately what vocab they did not know like: herbicide. If they cant guess the picture then you just explain. It makes them remember it better especially since you are going to bring it up in the powerpoint. The i proceed with the PPT. In this lesson I am having them use the sentence structure of "What going green issue are you concerned with most?" I wrote this on the board then started the PPT. The PPT has the many different answers. For example: the answer to the question would be "Cutting down trees"... Why? "Trees provide Oxygen and are homes to many animals". Once you get through the PPT if you have time you need to do the whole Teacher-->student thing. Where you ask the question and they give you the answers. You can then change it up and have them go Student-->student. I use a ball and have the student lightly toss the ball to who they are goign to ask the question too. This lesson filled up my 50 min time slot. There is plenty of room on the PPT to change anything you want or to take out/add mroe slides.
