Hello,
I'm hoping someone would like ot help me out with a lesson I'm planning to do with my students next month. It's really simple since my student's levels are pretty low, but I think using videos will make it more interesting for them. Here's the plan: some of my French students have expressed an interest in knowing what are the everyday activities of other high schoolers around the world. I've asked some friends teaching in the US, but I'd also like to introduce an Asian culture into the mix, esp since we know how much South Korean high schoolers study! So I'd like to ask a teacher in a Korean HS to ask for any volunteers from students in their class would wouldn't mind being video recorded explaing what they do (including the times) on a typical day in Korea. For example "Hi my name is ----. At 6:30am, I get up and wash my face. At 7:40am, I make breakfast. Breakfast is usually kimchi, rice, and seaweed.' ; 'At 3:30, I have English self-study for 3 hours.' ; 'At 5:30, i have a private math lesson', 'I study for the Korean SATs'. etc. I'd like to use the real students, so my students can see and hopefully be motivated that others are learning English around the world.
If it's a success and the students in South Korea would like to know what French high school students do on a daily basis, I could record a few of my students to email to the teacher/students there.
Let me know if anyone would be intersted with this lesson and thanks in advance!
