How can you make the ESL schedule the day that school starts?!

Yeah I don't have lessons either, and from what I gather on facebook neither do any of my friends.

Just got my timetable - 1 normal class on a monday anyway [accompanied by my afterschool class].

18 scheduled classes total [plus an afterschool]. I can work with this [1 fewer than last semester].

I was given a time table last week, but was told today that they decided no English classes this first week. So, I have this week off and I'll shadow teach next week since I moved schools.

I was told I might get my class schedule by Thursday...and I won't even been in the school for half of the day on Thursday because my Co-Teacher is taking me to get my ARC renewed...I swear I'll figure out what's going on this semester eventually...

I put a few things together to wing it with but learned that I have no classes today. And no one has said anything to me about classes tomorrow...or the day after that...or the day after that. Nor do I even know what sections of the new Grade 1 book I am mean to teach. It's all so much fun.

I don't even know if they have a schedule made out for me yet.

As much as I want to enjoy this getting paid for nothing business, it's so very boring.

Same here. I'm doing nothing all week and everyone I know is in the same boat. And from what I gather, next week will be simple introductory lessons all week long.

I got my timetable a few weeks ago but won't be teaching until Thursday because of testing.

I was told today maybe I begin teaching next week... If I do not leave the office does that mean I do not have to put on makeup?

It's normal to not have classes on the first day,
Usually, there is welcoming ceremony today,
yea it can get boring without work to do,

I always try to keep myself busy, whether it be busy work or school work

I was told that all of the books changed for this semester back in December.

5 days ago, I was told that we have the same books.

6 hours ago, I was told that we have all new books.

4 hours ago, I was told that only 1st grade has a new book.
They gave me a new book. It was the wrong one.

2 hours ago, I received the correct copy for my 1st graders.

I was told I would teach today, but had no classes. Currently have no schedule.

I've learned to go with the flow. I really don't take their terrible procrastination habbits to heart anymore.

today is my first day, and my coteacher told me to come prepared, so i had everything ready today.

this morning, they said i'd only have 2 classes because of a teacher's meeting. then at lunch, it was 1 because of opening ceremony. and then half way in to my class, i found out (prepare for it) that my first graders were getting their books and wouldn't be coming to class.

i half-expected this all day since no one has really had an idea of what's going on, so it's definitely not a problem. actually kinda happy since i'm starving and all i can smell is fried chicken. :)

No classes today. Just got the temporary schedule for the rest of the week, although I was told not to start real lessons yet, since the Korean teachers weren't starting until next week.

Yup no classes today for me either. Aaaaand of course they wanna change it up this term so they want me to move classrooms, change styles for some classes ehhh god. I'm not to upset though I'm only contracted until April 17th so I can deal for 6 weeks or so.

no classes possibly all week. The timetables haven't been set yet either...sooo?

I finally got the textbook for one grade today while the two English teachers for that grade STARTED to figure out how they are going to teach the text. Apparently, I wasn't the only one without a clue.

I got my schedule today...but I've been relegated to being a REAL assistant teacher. I simply have to walk around and monitor the students. Bull, I know, but I only have a month left.

I'm so ready to get outta this school...

No classes yesterday, but four today. Yesterday, they decided which pages I will teach, and I only have a book this early because I found an extra one in a random office. With two months left I have gotten used to the last minute shuffle. Bring on the new students.
