"What kind of person are you?" Using Pig Personality Test
« on: March 14, 2011, 03:01:23 PM »
Inspired by another lesson plan on Waygook! Adapted to fit my students who are disruptive but above average 2nd graders. At the end of the prezi, students had to get into groups of 5 and read their summaries to eachother. Their team-mates had to give them points out of 5.
Here's the link to the prezi - you should be able to make copies but I'm new to all this so let me know if I've done it wrong!

What a great lesson - and a great program! This has got nothing on Powerpoint!

Thanks for sharing with all of us!

My morning class and I loved this, thanks!  I had to add Korean definitions for some words, so unfortunately I couldn't use your snazzy Prezi.  Here's my considerably-less slick ppt version, with the definitions included.

Here is the powerpoint that I used to give my students the pig personality test.  It is adapted from Karenology's powerpoint.  My students are only in elementary school, and although they are advanced, it helped them to see the features of the pig in question.  So, every detail of the pig is illustrated in this powerpoint.  I am also including the worksheet I gave them.  By the way, I taught my students all the personality terms in this powerpoint before we did the test.  The girls seemed to enjoy this.  The boys...  not so much.

I used this for my English Club, which is high school, Grade 1. Worked pretty well. Many of them are low-level/don't really care, but this engaged them pretty well. Thanks for uploading!

Thanks for the link OP.

Mind you the pig I drew indicates I am some sort of sociopath with bouts of amnesia.

I used this lesson has a follow up to a extreme sports using the language from practical english conversation textbook lesson 3. "you are an adventurous person aren't you? you should try basejumping!" etc worked well!

All the students of my middle school had to take part in a personality test last week. I have no idea why. I think my coteachers might get a kick out of this in one of our teacher classes.

This worked great at my high school, even the boys were interested! At then end of the lesson I got the kids to play 'guess the adjective' - divide the class in 2, have one student from each team come up at a time and mime or draw one of the adjectives used in the pig test for 1 point, describe it for 2.
