Took this survey off of another thread and modified it for the speaking portion of the lesson.

Modified from the previous book. Mr Bean Bomb Game. Kids love the dancing and a new words ppt. I also edited the above Mario game to match the lesson better. I used it as a review game.

PPT:
Slides 2 - 21 are practice slides.  Key expressions in English with Korean pronunciation guides + funny GIF's (I can skate/I can't skate).

Slides 22-23 - Jump, Run, and Shout - a song on Youtube that fits really well with this lesson.  The song lyrics in English and Korean (plus pronunciation guide) is attached.

Slides 24 - 26 - Talk Talk section of the book with script

Slides 27-34 - Heads Up, 7 Up game (ideally for the 2nd lesson) - my class is 17 students so I made 2 extra action cards (ski/dive) for a total of 8.  The extra student will get the inspector card.  They'll be in charge of making sure their classmates are using the correct target language during the guessing stages.

Here is my folder so far:

- intro ppt: this is a mix of ppt slides I found with some added slides of my own.

- period 3 ppt: the practice part is meant to be a bit of a guessing activity. I plan to ask students about whether or not the animal/person on the slide can do a certain action, then check the answer together on the next slide with a GIF.

- Carrot and bunny game (I want to say the creator was vicarious? but I'm not super sure. Credit to the original poster!) I made some strips with 10 carrots each, one for each student. In order to keep track of their scores I have them tear off a carrot every time the carrot they chose gets eaten.

- Pokemon Bomb Game (credit to original creator!)

-Charades PPT

Coin Game!
Students can play in pairs, or 3 people if necessary :)
Practice the dialogue and flick the coin.

Basic game with a basic PPT.. but it works well in class.

10.1 - Introduce vocabulary and key expressions with cute pictues and gifs. I made a bingo game using the flashcards from the back of the book. Print two sets for each team and label them X (can't) and O (can). I laminated and cut them.

10.2 - Guess the picture warmer. Heads down, thumbs up game.

10.4 - Guess the activity warmer. International Dance lesson (Can you dance the hula?). I showed the kids clips of the dances. Prep a playlist! I made a worksheet for them to fill out and practice spelling.

Happy teaching!

I made some cards to go with the Heads down, thumbs up game PPT for period 2. I give two copies to the picker so they can remember what they had. I put the expressions on one page and the picture on the other. I made it so the page can be printed on the front and the back and everything should line up and match up (at least that is how it prints on our school printer, print a test copy to make sure it works with yours!). I tried to make everything symmetrical, but I had so many problems with the anchor and I eyeballed everything, so it probably isn't perfect.

Enjoy!

Here's a game to practice speaking and reading.
I make two students stand up for each team, in my classes its 3 teams of 8 students.
Student 1 makes a question, "Can you ______?".
Student 2 answers the question.
Round 1 - "Yes, I can." (Row 1) , Round 2 - "No, I can't." (Row 2) , etc.
That saved time and confusion.
Once every pair has had a turn, switch their roles.
Make sure to install the fonts ^^

I am transferring to a new place for second semester, and I believe the students will continue to study online next fall, so I made PPTs for each lesson for the rest of the book.

I made a PPT with my voice over for this lesson. I made a similar ones for previous lessons in this book, so I will write the same there that I wrote in previous posts. The music is royalty free music from  bensounds.com.

If you would like to use this PPT and record your own voice, from the first slide my voice over is the speaker on the right. You can delete those and then record your voice. On the first slide, the speaker for the music is on the left. It is set to play at the lowest volume on a loop for the entire presentation. If you want to keep the music, don't delete the left speaker on the first slide!

Korean English Teachers: you are welcome to use this PPT with my voice for your school.

If you need to change the PPT to a video, you can use the export feature to to convert it to a mp4, however, it doesn't work with all versions of Office. The version of Office must have a subscription in order to use this feature.

Period 3 Nunchi Reading/Writing game.

Students know how to play nunchi! Have them stand, one person will read one word, if they read it at the same time, everyone writes both sentences. My 5th graders loved it, trying for 3rd grade. Halloween themed kinda bc tis the season.
