Just a simple intro PPT, if I make anything else then I'll update this post and include them here.

Guess Who game.

There are two game boards:  one with girls and one with boys.  I printed them each out and laminated them back to back so the students could just use a white board marker and eraser when playing. 

Somebody made this bomb game for the 5th grade book, lesson 6, so I changed it for the 6th grade book. Thank you to the original poster! The directions are on the second slide, but I changed them for my class. The original directions said if the students are out, they sit down and the last student standing is the winner. My classes are a bit too rowdy for that, the out students would get bored and likely disrupt the game. So I made it that the out student goes to the front of the room, throws the ball to start the next game, and then sits down. Once five students are out, they can all join the game again. I am not sure how the English was supposed to be used in the original game. I don't know if the out student is supposed to say the expression because it is covered up once the bomb explodes and must students would forget! For 5th grade I had the entire class say it together before they started passing the ball. For 6th grade, I am having each student say it when they pass the ball. Of course, you can change the directions for your class!

Slight modification to the Running Dictation game fnord posted above. I just added a slide for each of the 9 characters so the students know when to run for that person.

I am transferring to a new place for second semester, and I believe the students will continue to study online next fall, so I made PPTs for each lesson for the rest of the book.

I made two PPTs with my voice over for this lesson. I made a similar ones for previous lessons in this book, so I will write the same there that I wrote in previous posts. The PPTs are from the book's website (I think my coteacher downloaded them off of the company's website last year) and I recorded my voice over the slides. The music is royalty free music from  bensounds.com.

If you would like to use this PPT and record your own voice, from the first slide my voice over is the speaker on the right. You can delete those and then record your voice. On the first slide, the speaker for the music is on the left. It is set to play at the lowest volume on a loop for the entire presentation. If you want to keep the music, don't delete the left speaker on the first slide!

If you need to change the PPT to a video, you can use the export feature to to convert it to a mp4, however, it doesn't work with all versions of Office. The version of Office must have a subscription in order to use this feature.
