Quiz I made about various composers and painters. 12 questions. First go through all the questions, and then go through the answers all at once at the end. Target language: "Whose music is this? / Whose painting is this? It's **'s music. / It's **'s painting.

Easy, fun, almost zero-prep activity. Bring a large bag to class. Have students give you some of their items. Then one by one draw an item out of the bag and ask "Whose ** is this?" I always throw in a few surprise items of my own to mix it up.

Update I am so sorry guys, I found a HUGE mistake. I put one of the vocabulary words as "monkey" but it should be "tail." I changed it on the write the vocabulary word section and moved the word to the write the missing letter section. I also replaced "monkey" for "tail" in the puzzle and put some dead ends for tail. In the write the word section, I changed the missing letters for the word "long" because some of the students were confused what it was, despite me showing them when we reviewed at the beginning of class!

I am so sorry for those of you who downloaded the mistake. I saw that the word was tail, but then forgot and went with monkey.

I am also going to attach the PPTs that I got the pictures from. My coteachers use them, so I think they might be official, made from the publisher? I am not sure.

This is a worksheet that I am going to use for the writing period, but it can also be used for the review period as well. The words in the puzzle run in all directions and there are some tricks in it.

This is an adaptation from the game Evolution. Works well for small classes. I used a fellow teacher's template and changed it up, thanks to them.

Some speaking and reading stuff for the chapter. for blockbusters i print the second rounds dice page on the back of the first rounds game sheet so i can keep the first rounds dice page up on the screen for the kids that aren't finished with round one yet.

Worksheet, quick ppt that serves as flash cards for the key sentences, word twinkle.

Period 1 or 2 - song quiz. Pop music and the blank is one of their new words they have to listen for. I had them work in teams with whiteboards, changing the writer each time so everyone has to write.

Period 3 - fix the mistake. They write it in their notebook, and I have them switch with their partner before I reveal the answer so no cheating. Each slide gets points. I do more points based on difficulty.

Period 4 - Let's read level reading to supplement the textbook. I have them listen to the textbook, repeat after me, translate, and then read by themselves five times (they can read out loud quietly). Then we play this ppt where students fill in the blank. Plus an elimination reading (stayin alive), credit to the original.

Period 5 - Idea taken from another thread. I had them make 8 cards with a drawing, keeping it secret from their neighbor. When they finish, in a group of 4 they put their cards together and take turns drawing a card and guessing. ("Is this your shoe, (name)?" "Yes, it's mine.") They keep the cards they get correct and the person with the most cards at the end is the winner. If they get it wrong or they pick up their own card, they put it at the bottom. I have an example attached.

Here is a fun O / X Game to practice - Whose..is it? - It's mine / It's not mine, etc. Divide the class into two teams and the teams take turns in answering the questions - each time they can choose O or X and then they get points. Alternatively, you can play it like a telepathy game and give students a worksheet to write down their answer.
