Clash Royale Reading game!
My students are nuts about the mobile game, so I had to make something for our classes.
Plays much like Pirates of the Classroom.

Lesson materials I used for some sections of Lesson 4. Most, if not all, of these materials are borrowed and modified/updated from other sources.

Period 2 - Whose Song Is This? warm-up, Pirates of the Classroom speaking game (credit to owner)

Period 3 - Heads up 7 up - idea from other posts, Madlib activity

Period 4 - Practicing "it looks like ___" with hidden picture game.

I made two PPTs with my voice over for lesson four. I made a similar ones for lessons one, two, and three. The PPTs are from the book's website (I think my coteacher downloaded them off of the company's website last year) and I recorded my voice over the slides. The music is royalty free music from  bensounds.com.

If you would like to use this PPT and record your own voice, from the first slide my voice over is the speaker on the right. You can delete those and then record your voice. On the first slide, the speaker for the music is on the left. It is set to play at the lowest volume on a loop for the entire presentation. If you want to keep the music, don't delete the left speaker on the first slide!

Korean English Teachers: you are welcome to use this PPT with my voice for your school.

If you need to change the PPT to a video, you can use the export feature to to convert it to a mp4, however, it doesn't work with all versions of Office. The version of Office must have a subscription in order to use this feature.

Odd letter out game to practice spelling using key expressions.  Have the kids pick out the incorrect letter before time is up.   In the first 2 rounds, kids pick out 1 letter.  Then they pick 2, 3, and finally 7 letters in the extreme round.  Enjoy!

Key Expressions:
1. It's Lisa's airplane.
2. Whose towel is this?
3. Whose brush is that?
4. It's Tom's sock.
5. Whose button is this?
6. Whose shoe is that?
7. Whose textbook is this?

Just a lazy period 1 ppt I put together using other people's work. All the original creators rock. Thank you for your contributions. You should add an additional character to the bingo portion.

Pokemon Telepathy game

Great powerpoint, apple! Was wondering though, how can I change the animations on the answer screen to play without clicking the ball? I use a pointer so I can move around the classroom and having to walk back to the pc to click with the mouse is time consuming.

It looks like someone added a click trigger to the animation in Tay's original template and I'm not sure how to remove it. I've never messed around with triggers in powerpoint before so it's new to me.

EDIT

So I really like how this game looks and plays and apple did a really good job coming up with the sentences but I wanted to change a few things to suit my teaching style. I like to use my usb pointer so that I can move around and check on the students while they write so having to walk back to the front of the class everytime I wanted to show the answers wouldn't work for me.

Triggers are finicky in powerpoint and I don't know how to get around them but I've edited the powerpoint that apple posted so that you can advance through without using the mouse. I removed the trigger setting and tweeked the image groupings but you have to advance the answer slide twice. Once to start the wobbly animation and once more to open the pokeball.

Also I do a seperate thing where the students get points by holding up their fingers and comparing them to a random number on the screen. If that's not your thing you can just delete the explanatory slides  and the number images. The first round only the winners get points. After that, everyone gets points but winners get double.

Avengers pass the ball.  Here is part A.  I had to split them up because waygook said the file was too large to upload.  So, download part A and B separately, then merge them together.  I use sticks with student numbers instead of a ball during this crazy corona age.
