Give the students some time to try to memorize the objects they see in the rooms. Tried to make it as silly and entertaining as possible. Four rooms: bathroom, bedroom, living room, and kitchen.

Here's an introduction plus a game that uses (There is a ______ in the _______.) that I found on here and edited a little.
Also attached the fonts used.
Note for stuff I added to the intro (not from book):
* "couch" as alternative to "sofa"
* oven
* microwave (oven)
* "bathtub" as alternative to "bath"
* dining room

Just an introductory PPT from me for this lesson. If I make anything else for this lesson then I'll edit this post to add it as per usual.
All Periods Intro:
Pretty self explanatory.
(Ideal for all periods)

Here is a ppt game that someone else made initially, and I heavily edited to make it better. They did most of the work, I just added a couple characters and did all the videos and changed the content to be for this grade and lesson. Therefore I shall claim 40% of the credit because it was a bit thematically dissonant before.
I think I will trick my kids the next time that I use this by playing the End Game clip, but cutting to a clip of Thanos dancing before Iron Man gets his snap off. Then only Thanos survives and all the good guys die. Unfortunately that will probably put me over the 50MB limit for this site.

In the our old book, this lesson used two forms of "there"; there and their. For example, "What's in the room?" There are two tigers. How are they different? Their color is different." So I wanted to make a lesson to explain the different ways "there" is used.
I was lucky to find a good video that explains the difference. I made a worksheet to go with it. I tried to make the worksheet look as much like the video as I could.
In this book, it seems they are only doing "There is" and "There are" for this lesson, but I wanted to do this again because this is something many native speakers get wrong, especially in comments on the internet.
I did it with period 4 for some classes, and period 5 for others (different co-teachers, one is a lesson ahead of the other). It takes me about 15 to 20 minutes. We listen to the video and then pause it after the part they are supposed to write. We spell the version of "there" they are writing down. The co-teachers explain some things in Korean. After the mini-test, I pause the video to let them check the answers. Then, depending on how much time is left, I say the sentences on the mini-test and they repeat after me. By this time it is usually about time to go.
I like this lesson because it actually feels like I am teaching something, compared to just doing the book and playing a game. Some of students find it boring, but I don't care!

Here's a game to practice speaking and reading.
Every student had a chance to make a sentence.
Either, "There is _________ in the ________." or "There are __________ in the _______.".
Let them know that it is okay to make funny/weird sentence. Goal is to understand plural structure versus singular.
Kids loved saying: "There are three toilets in the classroom." lol
Make sure to install the fonts ^^

Here is my Expressions Objectives handout and a Blazing Pens game which is based on the E.O. This game isn't a race. Everyone needs to get the right answer and write it on the mini-whiteboards. Then I play odds or evens against the writer of each team. If I win, they get one point. If they win, they get two points. The scoring is much more even this way, so teams don't lose heart when they get impossibly to catch up behind. If you don't know odds or evens, google it. It's an alternative to RPS.
edit: I allow students to use the E.O. handout during the game. It's difficult enough trying to get the words in the right order.

These are the roleplay props. Students can cut out the different furniture and appliance items and glue in the different rooms before presenting to class or on video what is in what room. Print the furniture/appliances on regular A4 paper and the house on larger A3 paper.

I am transferring to a new place for second semester, and I believe the students will continue to study online next fall, so I made PPTs for each lesson for the rest of the book.
I made two PPTs with my voice over for this lesson. I made a similar ones for previous lessons in this book, so I will write the same there that I wrote in previous posts. The PPTs are from the book's website (I think my coteacher downloaded them off of the company's website last year) and I recorded my voice over the slides. The music is royalty free music from bensounds.com.
If you would like to use this PPT and record your own voice, from the first slide my voice over is the speaker on the right. You can delete those and then record your voice. On the first slide, the speaker for the music is on the left. It is set to play at the lowest volume on a loop for the entire presentation. If you want to keep the music, don't delete the left speaker on the first slide!
Korean English Teachers: you are welcome to use this PPT with my voice for your school.
If you need to change the PPT to a video, you can use the export feature to to convert it to a mp4, however, it doesn't work with all versions of Office. The version of Office must have a subscription in order to use this feature.

The Cowboy reading game and Code Breaker 3000 adapted for this unit!
For the Code Breaker PPT, I printed the chart on the last slide on the back of the decoding sheet, so my kids could write on it if needed, as they never seem to have paper. You can ignore/delete it if you don't need it!

My students are all about Among Us right now.
Found this Telepathy game on the site and adapted it to this lesson.
Please double check the spelling, I'm only human.
Cheers to the original creator.
