Students are in groups of 3-4.
Each group is given a whiteboard, a sentence sheet, 2 die, an eraser, and a marker.
1. Students will play RPS to decide who will go first.

2. S1 will roll both die and read aloud the corresponding sentence from the sentence sheet
(for example, I roll 10, so I read aloud "The cat is smaller than the dog").

3. S1 rolls 2 die again. The number rolled is their "points".

4. Use the whiteboard to keep score.

5. The next student begins their turn.

**Remind students to please help lower level students in their group read their sentence.
***For a little twist, tell the students if they hear assigned noise (-- bell, clap, music, whatever you choose), they must switch directions. Like playing a "reverse" card in Uno. So if they were going clockwise, now counter clockwise.

The normal intro PPT from me plus a Connect 4 game and a Baskin Robbins reading game. Be sure to check this post every now & again as I'll be editing it if/when I make more files for the later parts of the lesson.

All Periods Intro: Pretty self explanatory. (Ideal for all periods)

Connect 4 game: Divide the class into 2 teams (Yellow VS Red), students say the sentence "The ___ is ___er than the ___" or "That's not right." in order to place their teams colour marker in the square. (Ideal for the first or second period)

Baskin Robbins 31 game: Students play in pairs, taking turns reading either 1, 2 or 3 boxes. Whoever reads box 31 is the loser. (Ideal for the fourth period)

This is an intro PPT and quiz using the key words. 

This chant works as a good introduction for comparatives.

I am transferring to a new place for second semester, and I believe the students will continue to study online next fall, so I made PPTs for each lesson for the rest of the book.

I made two PPTs with my voice over for this lesson. I made a similar ones for previous lessons in this book, so I will write the same there that I wrote in previous posts. The PPTs are from the book's website (I think my coteacher downloaded them off of the company's website last year) and I recorded my voice over the slides. The music is royalty free music from  bensounds.com.

If you would like to use this PPT and record your own voice, from the first slide my voice over is the speaker on the right. You can delete those and then record your voice. On the first slide, the speaker for the music is on the left. It is set to play at the lowest volume on a loop for the entire presentation. If you want to keep the music, don't delete the left speaker on the first slide!

If you need to change the PPT to a video, you can use the export feature to to convert it to a mp4, however, it doesn't work with all versions of Office. The version of Office must have a subscription in order to use this feature.
