Christmas Plans...got any?
« on: December 16, 2020, 09:56:03 am »
This year has sucked. 2020 has been a constant upheaval and I am delighted to see it going away. Vaccines are out and people have started receiving the Pfizer one with the Moderna one coming soon. I hope they work and end the shitshow this year has been.

Tomorrow is the Christmas party at school and then I'm off till January 4th. This Sunday me and a friend are hopping on our bikes and heading into the jungle. No plans other than be back in time for work. Leave civilisation behind.

My bike will be put through its paces over the next 2 weeks. I am so looking forward to just getting away with no plans at all.

I hope everybody has an enjoyable break.

Good stuff, enjoy your trip and stay safe.

Our tree is up, presents almost all arrived and most are wrapped. The thrill my kids get on Christmas morning is awesome to see. We don't go too overboard, mostly books, clothes and a few toys, but that is enough for them!

Nice to see that some kids still get books.

I bought a cat tree. It's wrapped up still in clear wrap from the store and in the corner of my hagwon classroom as a conversation piece this week. I'm inviting a friend over for Christmas dinner and while I cook and we chat the cats can discover and play in the thing, my guest and i interacting with them while they do so.

I figure I'll do the usual solitude and seasonal depression thing. It's become a bit of a tradition.

I am going to bake cookies and do a gift exchange with my friend! I'm thinking about making homemade eggnog but I'm not sure I can be bothered. I may drive to the snow to see some! It didn't snow in my city. :c

I'll  keep my plans to myself until after the holiday. wouldn't want and don't need  a lecture from anyone. and  I am still deciding exactly what to do.

You really should announce your plans.

Get a cake or ice cream or whatever my husband and I feel like, then play Switch games and read all day. Probably do some of that Just Dance to work off the extra calories (got that game on sale recently).

It's nice to stick with traditions this time of the year.

Same, although this is my first year on that track (usually I'm home for the holidays. Would've made the trip if not for covid). Hopefully it's a fun one!

My first time doing this, guess I'll treat myself to some far too expensive wine and fall asleep on the sofa mid afternoon.

My plan is... finish camp planning before Christmas.

My actual plan is nothing, lol. Pretty much figure it will just be a 3-day weekend for me and my boyfriend, which is really nice. We won't be going out to eat or doing anything like that, so maybe go find a new place to hike and cook a special dinner.

I might like to introduce him to buffalo chicken dip... thinking about making some if I can get my hands on the ingredients.

Oh, and wine.

If you like American football, wake up at 5:30 am Christmas morning to watch an NCAA bowl game: Houston vs. Hawaii.

It isn't a marquee match up, but back home watching bowl games was a holiday tradition so that's how i'll kick off the day. :)

Live tv eu russia is where i go to watch live sports free (most feeds with u.s. network broadcasters, only a few in Russian); google it. Note: you have to figure out the clicking off of ads dance to get to it.

I'm in isolation at home until the 26th.  After that, I'll be heading outside and appreciate the warmer winters here and most likely head to have lunch at Ashley's.

This is good. I use VIPBox Sports. Same thing about the ads.
