There's no evidence yet this was political. There are indicators that he was being pursued and this was a Mr. Pink "you or me" type situation.

If some fleeing criminal had a MAGA bumper sticker and plowed into a crowd, people would make it political even if it wasn't. Don't do the same thing until the evidence comes out.
