the Times have given this story a wide berth. This must be the
kind of information that makes Koreans brains seize up. They
have all been brainwashed since the Chun Doo-Hwan and Noh
Tae-Woo regimes to equate any drugs with satanism and
cannibalism.

I wish that Korea and Japan had chosen alcohol as the hill to die on rather than cannabis.

I enjoy a drink every now and then, but you know, it really *is* a lot worse in every way than a bit o' the green.

While that's true, let's compare the numbers of fatalities in the US (for no other reason than because they keep good stat records) attributed to alcohol to those attributed to THC:

Alcohol: 80,000 per year.

Cannabis: 0

That's a pretty substantial difference, and that difference is even greater when one starts to include those substances as contributing factors towards death (suicide, car accidents, violence etc).

One might *prefer* one over the other, but it's pretty clear which substance is a bigger detriment to a society.

But don't show Koreans these statistics. They
have been so heavily brainwashed that the numbers would not
register and you would be automatically labelled a societal freak
and outcast for uttering such blasphemy.
