Uploading Lesson Plans [READ FIRST]
« on: September 20, 2006, 08:45:22 pm »
UPDATED:

Files which are permissible for upload are:
Images, Word Documents, Text Files, PDFs, short videos, MS Excel, and Powerpoint.

Post your lessons under the correct "child board".  I.E:  Middle school stuff should not go under high-school, etc...

If your lesson plan is geared towards middle-school students, but can be used by high-school students.  Stick them under their lowest category.  If they can easily be adapted to any level, then they go into the multi-level section.  Sorry to be obvious, but it had to be mentioned.

Here are some basic instructions from the "FAQ" section, if you don't understand it let me know, and I'll detail the process.

Arsalan

I'll try to contribute a few things over the next few months and if you trust me after that I'd like to help out.  This site is so well organised compared to some of the other rubbish out there.  It's also community orientated - which is great and in the right spirit.  I just hope my lessons will be useful and not cliched or boring.

As I live in Gyeongnam, I would hope to broaden the readership too.  We have no such site that I know of - well except maybe pusanweb, which is a little different in content and spirit I think.

Oh I just realised I didn't put the icon on my lesson plan post - sorry!
Also, would it be possible to make some folders for example: elementary, middle and high school, plus maybe: university, adult and business, or something like that.  It would make posting and finding things much easier.

Thanks again

Rian

Hi Rian, I am actually working on something for the site, so it should be a bit nicer soon.  The only issue is that I have to wait a little until the final 2.0 version of the SMF software comes out, otherwise I'll have to redo the template all over again.

I'll section things off so that they fall under the categories of:

Level:
- Elementary (or Low-Beginner)
- Middle-School (or High-Beginner to Low-Intermediate)
- High-school (or High Intermediate)
- University (or Advanced)

It should work out better when looking for lesson plans.

p.s.  Send me a message if you have any specific ideas.

The lesson plans section is being updated slowly, I am trying to figure out what belongs where and such.  It will all be in a neat little place shortly.

Can I put a vote in for making it possible to upload MSPublisher files to the site?  I make a lot of things with publisher, so I often think to upload my materials to the boards but then don't because I remember I can't upload .pub files.

Alright, I'll add publisher uploads.  You can pm me or post in the suggestion area for a quicker reply.  I won't typically look here for suggestions :)  Caught it this time, a little late but nonetheless.
