I have a troubleshooting question.  Whenever I have used both the Girls' Generation and Simpsons games, I am highly confused.  I plug in the information in box 4, but the infromation is only shown for the first box/question of the game...the rest of the slides come up blank, when theoretically the question/prompt should appear.  Does anyone know what I can do to fill in the information correctly, so that when I click a letter/question box, the data I plug into the game comes up at the appropriate site?

Gangnam Style Bomb Game I put together.
It's very similar to the Mario Classroom Blast Game.

Hey :) I'm having a problem with the Gangnam Style Bomb Game :(
Psy's face doesn't go away after you click (and return).
Could you upload the music files so I can add them to the powerpoint?

I'll try downloading again to see if something bad happened while it was saving to my computer. From what I've seen it looks great.

Thanks for your hard work! I'm sorry if my problem is just a computer error on my part.

Hello, I hope someone can help me, I've been using the Simpson's Class Room blast as a review game, I've started having problems with it since upgrading to office 2010.
In the past when students went to the screen where they had to choose either Lisa Maggie or Millhouse to get a bonus or a forfeit, the next screen would go back to the board where they can chose the next question, it's doing that now but the board resets itself every time that type of question is chosen.

At first i though I had messed about with the files so I used the original file I downloaded at the same thing is happening......So it must be a problem with the 2010 version. Anyone know how I can fix this besides reinstalling office 2007?

Thank you

Amend your system registry files or write a script in visual basic bypass the problems.

***Works best with Powerpoint 2007***
(still the easiest program to make and use games!)

Typhoon [20Q]: the classic updated with gifs.
I LOVE these templates, but I'm having a bit of trouble. The TYPHOON slides take me to the next question slide on the second click, rather than taking me back to the main board. I checked and this is happening on the template as well. I am a PPT novice so I'm clueless as to how to fix this. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you!! This is amazing and my kids love your stuff!

If you know how to do PPT at all, you can do it. You just insert pictures or text boxes like you do for any PPT slide. Just make sure you leave any objects there that act when you click on them.

Sometimes usually you have to move things to the back.

I find YouTube very helpful for how to do things in PowerPoint. I need it especially since my MS Office pack is all in Korean, so I have to watch a YouTube video and figure out from location and look of things where I can find them.

I view the main page on SlideShow view and click on a letter. That takes me to the blank slide. Then I hit ESC, and I am on that slide and can edit it.

I'm having trouble with the Word Sharks.

I love the template, but I tried to replace the stick figure head with my own head, like the instructions suggest, but it screws up the animation. Has anybody figured out how to make it work?

Hey Teachers!

I hope you and your students can enjoy these powerpoint templates.  Along with the classic bomb games there are plenty of exciting new game concepts, simple study tools and classroom management materials.

A big thank you to fellow waygook members 'sallyafc' (who produces many amazing games and concepts), 'summerthyme', 'JoshF', and 'sheila', along with Rick Teacher (the true original) and Jennifer Yong, for providing complete games.  Also, thanks to ‘Amy Rodulfo', 'Paul', 'vitamin-d' and ‘Melissha' here at Waygook.org and 'ddeubel' at 'eflclassroom.ning.c om' for providing great concepts for me to work with.

Instructions are included with each template.  There are 6 types of game:

Review Games
Use to study, reinforce or test language and grammar.  Check out 'Memorize!', 'Wordshark', 'Chase the Vocab' and 'Pass the Bomb' for something very different!

Bomb Games

The classic powerpoint game for reviewing and drilling language.  Students receive, steal and swap points but have to avoid losing them all when a bomb explodes!  Check out 'BOOM!' for a new twist on the genre or 'Add Your Own Face Game' to get yourself into the powerpoint!

Versus Games
Teams play against each other to win.  Teams can answer individually but it gets really exciting if they answer simultaneously!  Use 'Blockbusters' as a powerful tool to get every student talking.

Quizzes
Simple competitions to get your students interested: better for older students.  Raise the tension with 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'.

Grids

Single slide games to drill language functions (Q&As).  Quick and easy templates to complete, they provide a well structured recap or warm-up.  See 'Minesweeper' for an easy and fun game.

Trackers
No question slides to fill!  Simply use these single slides to keep score in class and reward students and teams during an activity.  Check out 'Race!' for some great looking fun.

:)    :)  My personal favorites are: 'BOOM!', 'Pass the Bomb', 'Add Your Own Face Game', 'Chase the Vocab', 'Memorize!', 'Minesweeper' and the 'Race!' tracker.  :)    :)

Review Games

Bingo: easy to fill: handouts to print included!
Boggle: a very simple template to play this classic.
Chase the Vocab: based on 3 card monte - what's under each card?      - concept by ‘Amy Rodulfo'.
Disappearing Dialog: featuring Bart and Lisa Simpson.
Give me a Clue: students guess the hidden picture using clues.
Guess What: what's hidden behind the boxes?  17 different slide types.
Guess Where: find the pairs of vocabulary cards.
Make A Sentence: 4 game types!
Memorize!: can you remember a sequence of vocabulary? 2 game types.
Pass the Bomb: pass the bomb until it explodes!  2 game types.       - concept by ‘Paul’.
Pass the Pencil Case: when the crazy music stops that person answers a question.
Silly Bulls!: a game to practice blending 2 and 3 syllable words.
TV Speed Quiz: choose a channel: can your teammate guess the vocabulary?      - concept by ‘sallyafc’.
Vocabulary Starter: a simple warm up/recap/stimulus activity.
Word Shark: digital hangman: add your own face for a class determined to lose!      - concept by ‘Melissha’.
Wordsearch: play on the big screen up against a time limit.
Word Unscramble: play with or without picture hints and quick time limits!
Word Wars: A simple game to test vocabulary.      by ‘summerthyme’.

Ghostbusters [20Q]: the original throwback.
Girls Generation Game [20Q]: music clips of your favorite K-Pop.      by ‘sallyafc'.
Halloween Game [25Q]: a scary game for any time of the year.       by 'Rick Teacher'.

Mario Classroom Blast [20Q]: a great looking game.       by Jennifer Yong.
Pirates of the East Sea [25Q]: a classic, great game.      by Rick Teacher.
Robots vs Aliens [2x20Q]: great looking space game, but can be scary for small kids!  Big file size.

Wow.  Thank you.  Your animation is incredible.  I love to make PPTs and am just learning all the crazy things that can be done.  The race PPT and the Lucky Wheel blow my mind.  I want to learn how to do all that!  Well done!!
