Here are cards for a slap game. one sheet per pair, teacher says one sentence and the students must race their partner to slap the correct picture. (you can also do it as a snatch game. cut the cards out and 1 set per pair. they must race their partner to grab the card and hold it up).

I used the same pictures for a coin flick board game as well.

So for period one my co teacher decided we were going to use another game.
She showed the kids the example video (I have attached here).
Then one by one a team would come to the front. The whole class would ask:
"What are you doing"

I would say one of the activites we had listed on the board from the vocab introduction:

"I'm dancing"

Then the team without looking at eachother had to attempt to do the same action.
If they nailed it point, if they failed pass.

The kids LOVED it.

Here is a coin flick game. It has a combination of pictures, English, Korean, and bomb squares.

(Pictures are from the textbook. Expressions in Korean were copied from the textbook CD; they translate to the expressions beginning with Im .)

Here is a Baskin Robbins game we used for the last period of the lesson. This is not my template, I only modified it to fit this lesson. I do not know who the original creator is so I apologize for not being able to give them credit!

How to play:
-Students can play in pairs or in groups of 4.
-Each student can choose to read one, two, or three sentence when it's their turn.
-The student who has to read the last box (number 31) is the loser.

This is such a good idea, I can't believe I haven't heard of something like this before. Thanks for sharing.

Easy listening game for the first period:

Simon Says: The teacher says "I'm sleeping, I'm eating, I'm running", etc., while acting it out and the students should repeat the action and the word. When the teacher doesn't use the present progressive, (e.g., I sleep) and the student still does the action, he/she's must sit down.

ppt with key expressions. Used the pics from the slap game (thanks). Drills key vocabulary and also practices 'What is he/she doing?' and 'What are they doing?'
Using this in my 4th period at the beginning of class as an intro review.

Here is an elimination game with vocab from the first and second periods. The goal is to have every student in the class speak, if they get an X they must sit down, if they get an O they keep playing. It's a little challenging for fourth grade, but the kids really liked it.
