Some more short vids. These went over well last year so I'll be using them again.

Here's an intro powerpoint that I use to introduce the listen and repeat.  It has fun gifs that the kids enjoyed.  I'm also attaching the practice powerpoint I made that I use for day 2 to prepare for the roleplay.

Here's also a Mr. Bean bomb game that I made for the speaking lesson game.  Thanks to the original maker of the template.  I don't know who you are, but my kids love it.

Here's a 6 sentences game that I made.  If you haven't played this game before, basically you tape the different pieces of paper around the room (slightly hidden).  The students, in teams, assign the 4 runners and one writer.  The runners find the papers and tell the writer what words are written.  Then, they have to write the sentence in the correct order.  The first team to write it correctly gets the point.

Thank you for the PowerPoints.  I used them and the students loved them!

I made some worksheets to go along with the vocabulary in the PowerPoints.  It is an interview activity and a word puzzle.  My students did quite will with them.

Here is a board game and pass the ball game from Waygook. Also intro ppt and ppt for sounds and letters. Teacher sounds the letter and students guess K or G. Students then repeat the letter, the sound and the word on the slide.

This is my first post :)

I used this as a review (4th period) for Lesson 11. There's a review of the letters, key sentences and a trash ball game at the end. My students went crazy for it and even asked to stay later to continue playing. I used the trash ball game template from the templates tab.

Enjoy!

I'll add my materials to the mix in case anyone else has a similar teaching style.

I found and modified the following materials:

Some flash cards for playing a snatch game, go fish, or anything you can dream up.  I included pictures and sentences, but if you can easily delete the sentences if you want them to think of it themselves.

The Let's Write telepathy writing game, modified to fit the vocab for this topic.  I also like putting a bonus round where they have to find the error.  It gives me a chance to teach a bit of sentence structure and address their common mistakes.

Hope it helps!

Can You Dance Review PPT with a classroom basketball game, with GIFs.  I paired the PPT with Love Never Felt So Good from Michael Jackson in the background, it's fitting to have his music used in this lesson :p

(You'll need some bean bags or stress balls and a basket for this)

Taken from trash ball game PPT by previous poster in the thread.

Kids love Simon Says. I played it saying "(Simon Says) can you ____?".

And that "Can an Elephant Jump" song (above) is great too. They love doing the actions so make them stand up at the start of it.

Team game for P3 or P4:

Give each team a print out of slides 1 and 2. Print and cut up slides 3-5 and put them in the back of the room. One student from each team will run and grab one clue to bring back to their team. They solve what that sentence is, then cut out and glue the corresponding picture to the correct number box. Then they return the clue and exchange it for another one.

Musical Chairs game. I borrowed some audio files and and pictures from other users' powerpoints.

Student(s) that's out has to say the correct sentence.

Font used is grobold: http://www.dafont.com/grobold.font

I recommend eliminating more than one chair at a time as my 3rd graders get restless the longer they are out. That way you can maybe do two rounds if needed.

Simple intro PPT and worksheet that is meant to be filled out alongside the PPT.
The Korean translation goes between the {      } beneath the English word.
My 3rd graders this year are really low level so Korean translation does help.

Also, I've attached the song I'm using for this lesson along with a fun "Can/Can't" animation short that the kids enjoy ^^
Happiness is a choice.

Edited one of the intro PPTs from this thread to contain a bit more practice and some gifs. kids loved it. sorry can't remember who posted the original ppt here.

Then they return the clue and exchange it for another one.

this has obviously been taken from another thread because some of the sentences don't fit the sentence structure that is taught in this chapter. some of the vocab is also off.

so i edited that. i also replaced the crappy clipart.

thanks for the effort though.
