Here's a basic intro that goes over the key phrases and then I let each team say the phrase from memory by looking at the pictures.

There is also a Mario bomb game that I edited to fit the lesson. Thanks to the original creator.

For Ch6, I used a "What will happen" video and students enjoyed it. So I decided to do it again. I found one online that is really well put together. You'll need to edit the sentences though, as they are difficult for elementary students and not in "going to" form. I did this and added some translations and was going to post the updated file here, but could not save the file so I'll leave the job up to someone else! :(

I made and edited a few things for this lesson
1. Made an intro powerpoint focusing on the phrases in the book

2. Edited a find the sticker template. 10 slides. Easy reading, speaking and writing group activity.

3. Edited a cowboy game. Thinking of doing this as a warm up game for day 3.
I wanted the slides to move don't know how good of an idea that was can probably be fixed up.  :sad:

4. Made a let's read for day 3 for pages 214-215 this is just for the students to practice reading outloud, I will give the students assigned colors to read as a group.

5. Edited this choose your own adventure someone made
Just changed it to say "What are you going to do" instead of "What should you do" ;D

6. Edited a connect 4 in space template. In this activity the students will have to do both ask the question and answer the question.
What are you going to do this winter?
I am going to go on a trip.

Modified an old Zombie bomb type game.

Made a battleship game as well. Both good for reading/speaking. Periods 4 or 6

Thanks to all previous posters for their uploads, especially wouldof's BR31 game and travelingtexas (BTW, you're quite a long ways off course, aren't you?) for the intro ppt.

Some materials I made:
To open the lesson, I'll do some comparison with lesson 6 then give several examples of "going to go/do" (gr6-12-1tense.ppt). REMOVED
For period 2 I made an unscramble warm-up on an all-new racecar theme. REMOVED
Period 3, I made a game called "Dragon's Lair" in which knights try to find the dragon's gold by decoding messages.  This is like the Espionage and Egyptian Tomb games I made before.  My students really enjoy it.  REMOVED
Period 4 - I made an extension of the reading activity with other places to go on a trip--like Kimchi Theme Park in Bucheon, Petite France in Gapyeong, and last, but not least, Jurassic World.  I'll have each student read a sentence, then all will complete the fill-ins together   You can delete the pictures with me in them.  Better yet, use a place that you have been. REMOVED
Period 5, my writing activity is the RPS sentence-writing game, a fun way to write sentences.  Instructions on the ppt.  REMOVED

Pd 3 - Review PPT with word clouds
Mission Impossible Wall Dictation. Students played in teams of 4.

Pd 4 - Writing worksheet. Sentence Bets (got from another post). There are worksheets somewhere out there that students can work individually and mark the sentences themselves. I adapted this version for students to play in teams. So to make this as fair and have as little complaining as possible.

1st - show the sentence.
2nd - go to each group and ask for the point bet.
3rd - Teachers counts 1...2...3 each group should hold up a sign that either says "X" or "O". (If a group stalls to look at what other groups are saying, then they're out for that round.)
4th - If the groups think the sentence is wrong ("X") give them 30 sec to correct it on a piece of paper. Teacher will check.
5th - If the groups think the sentence is right ("O") have them wait to give other groups time to correct sentence. If all groups think sentence is right, go to step 6.
6th - show the answer and possible points.

If the group thinks the sentence is wrong, but it's right, then the team doesn't lose points, but they don't gain points either.

Sorry if it's a bit complicated, but this came after in-class trial and error. The above steps worked for the classes I used them in and the students didn't complain about anything being unfair.

The plants vs zombies game wouldof posted didn't work for me. The links on the question selection screen did not disappear because there is no animation applied to the images. I just copied the questions into another version of the game, but hopefully this  works for someone.

Good for speaking practice/period 2.

I got this game from Mr. C (Thanks!) Played it with my 6th graders during lesson 6 "What will you do this summer?"

Edited it for this chapter. My kids love this game. Nothing better than hearing "Again! Again!" or "One more time!"

Here's a reading activity with a little writing.  I printed out the paragraphs and stuck them on the walls around the room.  Then I made copies of the worksheet (page seven of the file) and handed them out to the students and had them read the paragraphs to fill in the worksheet.  It was a little hard for them, even the higher level students, so you might want to work through the answers for one paragraph or person together to help them know where and what to look for to find the answers. The last page of the file is an answer key.  I'm including a pdf for ease of printing and a word file in case anyone wants to change anything.
