Done a powerpoint for this. Pretty much running this from the book and no idea what to do as an activity - :-[

Anyway - hopefully the powerpoint will help somebody out.

Note - I keep getting warnings about compatibility, so I'm not sure how this will work on other systems.

I used the phrase "Let me..." and turned this into a lesson on asking permission. I think let me is a little rude in most situations and so I drilled " May I" with the answers "Yes, you may" and "No, you may not". I've uploaded a modified version of a game based on these phrases created by Rookiewaygook on the J.L Haas thread.

The game is really fun and had all my students involved. Some of the options like "May I slap you" are a little controversial so check with your co-teacher if it's okay first. I've also included a low-level worksheet I used for this lesson.

I have attached my PPT.
I divide each unit into 2 weeks.
For the first week I gave them the (revised worksheet) - which you can modify if their English level is higher (by deleting the sentence with the pictures and then they can make their own situation sentences).
The second week's activity is a word search game with the vocab they need to know in unit 2. Or you can explain how the game in their textbook works.

Here's my PPT for Lesson 2, looking at the key expressions;

Then going through the dialogue and finishing with the Chicken Permissions game I took from elsewhere (thanks). Be aware that if you do delete any slides the links of the game will need to be adjusted also.

Thanks to everyone for their PPTs! They help so much. Here is a slightly adapted version.

Part 1 and Part 2 with a bomb style game at the end - you need a cup with some of the answers in and then I just start at the front/back of the class and one person from each team comes to the front.

Updated PPTs added at the bottom 2017 (Korean added in by CoT)
Part 1 - updated pictures and a team quiz activity at the end
Part 2 - updated pictures, changed some of the bomb forfeits

For a game, check out donovan's Can I GHOST2.pptx .

It only takes a few changes to align it with this chapter. I used it for about 20 minutes, but that wasn't enough time for any team to get GHOST. I'll use it again for a full period.
