So, it seems not a lot of people have gotten to this chapter yet.  We just started this chapter today, so unfortunately I don't have many materials to offer, but I figured I might as well give you some of the ideas.  So, we had the student watch a youtube clip about the Three R's: reduce, reuse, recycle.  Then we had the students put things you can do under each word. Reduce would be things like turn off lights, turn off the water. Reuse= donate clothes. Recycle: paper, plastic etc.  You get the point.  It helps them learn the english words to what I'm sure they already know about saving the planet.  This required no PPT, but you could make one if you wanted. I may in the future. If I do then I will post it here. 

Then, another idea is to show the students some clips from Captain Planet. They have episode 1 on youtube, maybe more. The problem is the quality is sooo poor that I am thinking of buying the DVDs so it can be a little better. I love CP so it doesn't matter to me.

Game worked great with my students.

I throw paper balls at students aftering having them repeat key sentences.  Student is prompted to ask me "Why?" to which I answer with the correct expression.

E.g. "You should wash your hands."  "Why?"  "Because you played outside."

Students then get to throw the paper back at me if they say an expression or choose the right expression.  When hit I hammed it up by crying and asking them "Why?"  Students respond with "Because."

Be prepared for head shots.

Fun dialog where James is "James Potter"--Harry's dad.  His family treats him pretty badly and ends up killing him and planting his body.  Morbid but the kids liked it.

Games: Where's James' body? - student say an expression under a tree planted in the yard.  The winner finds James' hair sticking out, We Should/You Should - students decide if they want the next slide or let the teacher have it. 

I just filled in the gangnam template with easy questions from chapter 10. My kids are pretty low level so I kept it basic.
