Students are to read the questions in Korean and answer it in English. If the answer is correct, then they can move to the next base.

The laser idea is brilliant.  I'm not sure inserting the songs is working so well for me though.  Overall, great review game!

Hi i know these were posted a while ago but i really need a big game that will last an entire lesson/ These games of 54 questions are great but is there an way of adding more teams to the PPT? Sorry am not clever with computers!!

I edited the life out of an angry birds game to make this Kirby bomb-ish game.  You are trying to get as many different Kirby's as you can.  For whatever reason, my kids love Kirby.  I hope someone else has some use for this.

A brainteaser quiz in Powerpoint.  If you can pull it off as quiz-master, this is so much fun.  2 groups work best,  since the 2 most competitive groups end up playing in the end anyway.

I've completely reinvented Storm the Castle. This is NOT a bomb game. It is an interactive role play game designed for questions and answers.

I made this for a few chapters out of my YBM book but really wanted to put this out there for everyone.

If you are familiar with Storm the Castle, or have attempted to do it in the classroom, you know that it is a slightly complicated game. I have made it a lot more easy. For this game, you need three color teams: green, blue, and red.

First, print up copies of the character sheets with questions on them. Second, print out copies of the answer sheet. Each team in your class should have 1 Emperor, 1 King, 1 Queen, and the remaining students are Knights. So you should print out 3 Emperors, 3 Queens, 3 Kings, and X number of Knights. All of the questions and answers are the same for everyone so staple the answer sheets to the backs of each character sheet.

Once you have completed this, you need to color code them. I used origami paper cut up into squares. Paste them onto the UPPER LEFT corner of each character page. Green, blue, red. Or you can use crayon X's or stickers or whatever you can manage.

The way the game works is there is a castle represented by students asking questions and attackers, who answer the questions. Each question has a respective answer with images to help. This makes it easier for the lower level students. Some students couldn't say entire sentences to I made it okay for them to point if they were supposed to ask questions as long as they tried to engage with the rest of the class.

I have changed this game considerably by writing sentences to help with questions and answers alike, rather than just having an image page.

I have also changed this game by assigning a POINT system. When the student gets to the Emperor, the Emperor will give them a BUTTON. So for the first round for instance, as the Green Team is in the middle castle, the Knights ask questions to the two separate teams at the same time. They move in a circle. The team on the right moves clockwise. The team on the left moves counterclockwise. This is all explained on the PPT. Each question and answer leads you closer to the Emperor. Once you answer the Emperor's question, you earn a button. Or any other physical thing you have that can count for points. You should have at least 50 or 60 on hand just to be on the safe side. You can use poker chips or whatever else you want. As long as each one represents one point.

At the very end of class, all of the teams will count their buttons and the team with the most buttons is declared the winner of the battle.

Since it's difficult for the Emperor to keep up with two teams, I stand by the Emperor to help students at the end and give buttons as well. My co teacher helped the students who were in line who needed it.

The most important part of this is TIMING. My co teacher came up with the idea of using a timer so that EACH TEAM gets 3 MINUTES to be in the middle defending position. This means each team will get 2 ROUNDS to earn button points. You can ring a bell or use a buzzer or whatever to stop the class and switch positions.

What we did, because it's actually less confusing, is because the students are looking at the screen from their vantage point, their vantage point will correspond with the color and sides. We did this to save time but you can decide to do the reverse if you want. What we did is for Round 1, THEIR left was blue, THEIR right was red. We wound up deciding to do this because they were gravitating towards those sides but if you have another solution, go for it.

If you want to do it the other way around, you can. It really doesn't matter, AS LONG AS EACH TEAM GETS ONE TURN IN THE CENTER. The other positions of the teams don't matter.

I hope you enjoy this game. The kids got excited over playing different characters. This would make an excellent game for either speaking or reading.

Students stand in a circle, each one having a verb, written in the past simple. They do not know what is written on their sheets. They have a ball, which goes around the circle, and when the teacher says “Stop!” the student, holding the ball must stand in the centre of the circle and show what is written on the sheet. The classmates must not say the verb they see, but they must explain it with signs and gestures without speaking. If the student looks at the sheet, he/she leaves the game. The more words they guess, the more points they get.
After a verb is guessed, the first student holding it, is the representative of the first group. Two groups altogether are formed: the group of the regular verbs and the one of the irregular verbs. Finally, the group that has more points (more verbs guessed) is the winner.
