This is a PPT that I used for a game in an after school class. As teams answered questions correctly their racer would move one space around the track. Pretty simple, but I think it can be used in a lot of different ways. Enjoy

STAR WARS - English Adventure Game
«

Hey everyone!
Here is my
"Star Wars"
themed English Adventure Game.
It should be pretty self explanatory, basically it is a glorified bomb game.
The first screen is just a black view of space so that you can have it up on the board, once you click forward from there
it will run on its own unless it prompts you to click
(other than one or two slides which should be pretty obvious). You may need to speed up or slow down the scrolling text at the beginning, based on the reading level of your students.
The best way to get a feel for it is to run through it in presentation mode and follow the prompts.
Basically you just have to divide the class into teams which are a multiple of 6 (2, 3 or 6 teams) to make it fair. I keep score on the white board and make each planet a "round". This gets them excited as you can just add another round after they think it is over.
You can do the planets in any order but make sure you do the "Death Star" last. I like to do Tattoine, Dagobah, Hoth, then the Death Star since Hoth has a bonus round built in.
To decide who gets to choose the door first on the last level I get them to do Rock, Paper, Scissors, or to vote as a class.
If you guys have any other questions or comments please let me know, and be easy on me, this is my first attempt at something like this.
Cheers!!
P.S. It is a really big file since it has a video clip at the end. The files are too large to upload to waygook so here are the links to download:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=63UGDPLI
pptx (2007 and above)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2N8Z4K7N
ppt (2003 and below)
Enjoy! :D :D :D

Okay - here I have uploaded a space lesson that was from waygook, along with a link to the Star Wars game in pptx with the answers filled in. This is the exact file I sent 2 of my friends with ppt 2007 and it worked (sounds included)... please let me know how you guys go with it!

My co-teacher used this game with my middle school kids this week. It's a great way to get them to open up and start speaking.

This is a traditional style Bomb game made with Crazy Arcade characters. My middle school girls are obsessed with the it so I thought I would try and incorporate it into a game. The team point system was taken from the Christmas game so special thanks go to Duchessrachel for her wonderful work on the Christmas game. You can find the Christmas Game here.

I posted this in one of the PPT Template mega packs a while ago, and I though I made a new topic for it, but when i searched for it today I could not find it, so I thought I would repost. Hope you enjoy. It is no where near the level of Daejon or Rufus W(if you haven't seen their games, leave this post immediatly and do so now), but maybe you can use it. If you find any mistakes let me know I will try to fix them and if you use it please repost. Also it should have sound, but I have had problems with that in the past, so let me know.
thanks

Thank u soooo much for this. I did this lesson at the high school that i am at, its two weeks later now, and i still hear the students ask if we can have another lesson like this. Just on a side note, you can "fix" the problem with the first letter being cut off on the powerpoint slides by putting a period or comma (or anything else for that matter) in front of the first word on every slide with this problem. It seems to work ok after that... also, be careful, or mindful at least, not to make the pictures too gruesome... i changed a few of the photos, and the next week my co-teacher informed that some of the girls complained that it was too much for them..
oh yes, i chanced the worksheet into a competition scorecard.... depending on the level of your class, you can either have them compete in groups for the right answer, or individual work seemed to work best at my school. what i did was the following: when students were presented with the four options, they had to vote for which option they (as an individual) would choose. i asked them to put up 1 finger for option one, or 2 fingers for option two, etc. I then asked them to lower their hands again, before asking for only the students that voted for example for option 1 to raise their hands again. i would then click on option 1... and if they got it wrong, they had to subtract one life on their score card (it works best if you do all the wrong options first, and only do the correct option last..). if they get the answer right, they can tick it off on their score card, which means they get one point. all of this worked fine, but at one stage in the powerpoint slide (when they go to the shopping mall), too many survival tools are discovered in one go... but i got around that, by saying these were bonus point for everyone. :)
..ok i said enough now i think.
thanks again...

Blank Jeopardy - answered questions disappear

I did not make this awesome template itself and if I remembered where I got it from I would give the maker credit.
However, I modified it to make it more convenient for myself. I tend to get click happy so the PPT only moves
forward when you click specific buttons. The answers will reveal after clicking the question mark button.
After answering a question, the question box will disappear.
There is a regular Jeopardy Template and a Jeopardy Template with multiple choice.

I must give credit where credit is due. The Mario Powerpoint game is one of the best I have ever used. And I'm a user!
I took the concept of the Mario game and made my own. I call it The Archer. It is the same concept as Mario with options from A-Z and so on. The game explains itself mostly. Let me know if you like it and I can post more.
Once again, thank you Nintendo for creating Mario in the first place and thank you to whom ever created the Mario Powerpoint Game.
