Thomas Orr Middle School English 1, 2, & 3 Index
« on: March 07, 2012, 11:24:32 pm »
Here are the links to the lessons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade in the Middle School English books with Thomas Orr as one of the writers/editors. Look below to see pictures of the covers of these books.  To access each lesson, click on the lesson name (in blue) and it will direct you to the link.  Please do not post lesson plans on the bottom of this thread, it makes it harder to find them in the future.  Please remember to check all materials posted for punctuation and spelling errors before posting.

The CD Rom's cover everything in the book and basically look just like the book's pages with English and Korean translations of the questions and some of the vocabulary. In addition, there are Student CD 's to accompany the book as well. It's best to consult your co-teacher if you're unsure of something.

Once again... Please DO NOT post lesson plans on the index section. Find the appropriate lesson or review thread and add your comments, lesson plans, and materials there. Also, DO NOT post things for special holidays/camps/teaching methods, etc on this index. Find the appropriate page by using the search function at the top of the page.

It will take some time to get all of the lessons moved over from the other lesson board. If you feel like you can't find something, please check there. Here is the link... http://waygook.org/index.php?topic=5121.0.html That board will now be locked so you will no longer be able to make contributions there. Please let me know if any of the links are not working or directing you to the wrong board by PM. I will not check this board often since I don't use this textbook series.

If you have any information reguarding CD-ROMS, websites from the publisher, or any substantially worthwhile info that teachers need, please PM me and I'll add it to this first post of the index.

That's enough for me tonight... I'll continue working on splitting it tomorrow and over the next couple of weeks. I've got a lot of clean up on my hands.

Thanks, a lot Stella!

I have a bit of time on my hands today *Grade 1 and 2 test day*, so I will try to provide track back links to my lessons.

Cheers.

^^^ They are still here : http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,5121.0.html

It will take awhile for (the wonderful!) Sheila to move them where they belong. The link above still has the old post from last year, just locked so you cannot post in that anymore.

This is awesome! Was feeling very lost browsing through the textbook! But now sort of know what to plan for. Is there perhaps a skeleton key for what parts of speech, grammar points, target sentences etc are being taught for each chapter in the respective books? Always makes it easier when making activities if you know what the kids know

That's the same as all the schools I teach in Korea. They only want me to cover the listening and speaking sections. I get as bored as some of my Ss sometimes.

Could we get a thread for review things? I'm not sure where to look for new chapter 1-3 review games. ^^

If you look above, there are threads for reviews under each respective grade. Please post your review materials accordingly! Thanks!
