Example: "Are you a good Netizen" = learning about..._____ I don't want to copy and paste other people's ideas...I would like to learn but damn, I can't seem to grasp these topics!Dude, I have the exact same problem. I asked my co-teacher if she could tell me what the point of each lesson is and if we can get together (each of my several co teachers and I) and actually write down the point/ objective of each lesson so that I could teach it and supplement the lesson with relevant activities. She said., "no". That's it. Plain and simple, "no". This leads me to believe that there isn't actually one. I thought it was written in Korean at the beginning of the chapter under "Focus" and "Function", but she said that it isn't. So I make one up. It's rough. I feel your pain. If there is another. If there is another more discerning Waygookie out there who could also enlighten me and kickboxrko, that would be AWESOME.

Grade 2: Chapter 7Famous PeopleWelcome back to the second semester everyone! Ready to get back on the horse? Here is my lesson on "Famous People." I have low level second grade students and it is the 2nd week back into school, so I did not try to tax them too hard. First you introduce the "lesson vocab": musician, athlete, historical figure and so on. For philanthropist, if you explain how a doctor goes to Africa and treats children for free they seemed to understand. Then you get to play a game. The students have four clues to guess the famous person. If they guess on 1st clue, they get four points. 2nd clue = 3 points, 3rd clue = 2 points, 4th clue = 1 point. I only allowed one guess per clue, and you strictly have to enforce the "only when you raise your hand" otherwise it can turn into pandemonium very quickly. They had fun with this. This takes maybe 15 minutes. Then it is there turn to make four clues. I put them in pairs and gave them a name. They had to write four clues. I gave them 10 minutes and then they had to share. The team that guess the answer was the next team to read clues. My list of famous people (which I cut out, laminated, and gave the students):Shin Saim Dang, Gandhi, Elvis, Yu Gwan Sun, Justin Bieber, Angelina Jolie, G Dragon, Leonardo da Vinci, Obama, The Beatles, Mozart, Beethoven, myself (for kicks and giggles), Miss A, SHINee, Kim Ku, Batman, George Washington, Isaac Newton, Johnny Depp, and so on. Hope this helps y'all.
Grade 1: Chapter 7The EnvironmentHere is my Grade 1 lesson plan. I beefed up someone else's powerpoint about how the environment is in danger (Thank you, waygook-er). And then we practiced "You should..." and giving advice. I have all my activities listed (I don't do them all in one class) but depending on the level of my students I will do different ones. For my low level kids I pretty much stick to repeating the slides--extremely basic. But for my advanced Grade Ones I give them extra examples, make them answer questions, and ask for other pieces of advice when talking about Reduce, Reuse or Recycle. For my low level, I give them multiple "problem cards " and they have to write 3 sentences about any of the cards. For my advanced students I give them only one card and they have to write multiple sentences about it. The low level kids turned "I use a lot of energy" into "You should not use a lot of energy" while my advanced kids said "You should turn off the lights," "You should unplug your electronics," and "You should buy energy-saving machines." I gave a word search to the low level kids and the "Make your own symbol" worksheet to the advanced. Hope this helps anyone.
