Again this might be a bit late but I've just done the second week of grade 3 lesson 9 and we did some debates on computer games, plastic surgery and more, they really got into them so thought I'd share. Have attached the whole powerpoint, the debate game is at the end.

This is a Grade 1 Lesson 11 Speaking part and zombie bomb game.  2 power points (censored and uncensored) and 2 bomb games (one has pop up videos) are in the files to download as well as videos.  My coteacher found it difficult to digest so I created a censored version (less scary). A warning to those who show this lesson or game in class, images are graphic.  Included is a very short quick review of Halloween more for looks than anything.  Credit to the person who made the zombie adventure and to Shane/Daejon for the zombie bomb game.  Videos included are with Kevin and Yujin in an eerie setting with a pop up at the end of the video for the uncensored version.  I made the introductory video to the bomb game with The walking dead series clip with my own editions.  Feel free to add, subtract, change, and edit anything you wish.

@ dapto1 Does your school block www.dropbox.com?  I'll go ahead and try to upload the files there as well hopefully it's not blocked yet if that helps.  Also which grade did you need?

Filesonic.kr is not blocked by the Busan office. It works the same as hotfile...

Maybe a little late, but here's what I did for Grade 1 Lesson 10 - Listening. It goes over a lot of the key vocabulary and phrases from the Lesson. Students really enjoyed the videos and pictures.

If not for this lesson, hopefully this can be of use to somebody for others.

Thank you to everyone who posts here. Has been a HUGE help.

Is it the same at your schools, where the 3rd grade writes their final exams this week, which leaves us with about 2 months of teaching stuff not from the book?

Can't imagine there would be too much motivation to learn new stuff in my class. Any suggestions for stuff to do for that period? Plenty of games to play, but my co-teachers will not let me do that week after week.

Have a great week!

This is my ppt for Lesson 11. Because I am a lesson ahead of my co-teachers, I was asked to drag out lesson 11 to take up a few lessons.  So this lesson is about the planets and how they got their names. I plan on doing the constellations next week, before finally returning to the book. Not sure if this will help anyone, but you might get some ideas from it.
Thanks to the waygooker, Kwingo11, for his ppt, where I got the idea for this one.

Jderrida - in my experience once Grade 3 have done their exams they are (mercifully) taken out to various events between now and leaving.  When they are in school your co-teachers shouldn't object to you playing games so long as they are generally educational.

I have just finished a general knowledge game with that in mind (see http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,22140.0.html for the original template and details on how to make it fully functioning).  Haven't used it yet but it might come in useful.

I'll also attach my latest lessons.  I have used the same 2 games for Grades 1,2 and 3 and just changed the questions /vocab.  Could still be useful for revision classes.  Again, see the multilevel concepts link for instructions on how to adapt.  The Chase the Vocab one in particular takes a bit of thinking to change but I've never seen students so utterly focussed and willing to call out the day's words.

I have been having problems with a few games... I just tried to check out the fruit ninja game, and it works except for if the students get the answer right it doesn't connect to the ppt slides with the fruit/bomb.  This has happened on other games too and I can't figure out how to get them to work.  I THINK I have the right macros setting but not positive.  Can anyone help?? Thanks!

Do you get the scoreboard up where you can choose teams of between 1 and 5 players?  If not, then you need to lower your macro security.  Go to 'tools', 'options' , 'security', 'macro security', 'medium'.  That should make all the macros work.  I had a little trouble getting the fruit to fly sometimes but by clicking on the green tick a few times it would work eventually.
