Here is my Grade 3 Lesson 2, week 2 lesson, with a kaboom game that practices invites/suggestions - why don't we etc. Also included the guess who game from last week as didnt finish this this week.  I used some pictures from other peoples ppts so thanks for those.

JimJam no problem, although I can't take credit for the paper airplanes game. I have used a lot of ideas and recycled ppt slides from this thread.

Hey guys, here's my Grade 3 - Chapter 2 part 2 lesson. It focuses on "Why not go there with me ___" and "I'm afraid I can't". I use one speaking activity from the book and a game where teams create a dialogue from pictures. Thanks to Gamdori for the idea/pictures and as well to JimJam for pictures etc. My take on the game is slightly different but rules/directions are given in the ppt. Feel free to use/change.  ;D

I have just been told I need to give the G3 Chapter 3 Lesson on Monday, but I've left the books at school and the CD doesn't work on my computer. Does anyone have the speaking target language to hand? x

I don't have the book with me, but I know if you go to DevilMogun's website: http://namhaemiddleschool.wikispaces.com/ she listed her lessons there. If you go to the right section and look at the ppts, you'll get an idea of what the lesson covers.

Here are our latest videos if anyone wants to use them. They replace the listening sections of the text books using the same key expressions. Videos for past lessons are available on our Youtube channel too.

Terribly sorry. This may be too late, but I only just checked waygook all weekend. XD

Lesson 3
1.
A: May I speak to Kevin, please?
B: He's not in now. May I ask who's calling, please?/ Who's calling, please?
A: This is Yujin. Can I leave a message?
B: Sure.
A: Please tell him the baseball team will meet on Friday afternoon.
B: No problem.

2.
A: Are you coming to Mr. Brown's talk tomorrow?
B: What's he going to talk about?
A: He's going to talk about the history of piggy banks.
B: Sounds interesting, but I have a lot of things to do. Can you tell me about it later?
A: With pleasure./ Certainly.

Bolded words are also the grammar points.

Are you guys all on Lesson 2 still?  I am on lesson 3.  If anyone has any ideas for lesson 3, it would be awesome if you posted them.

Cheers.

Gomodi, what grade? This is my Grade 2 Lesson 3A lesson. The 2nd half of the lesson is an instructions/suggestions game. If you view the powerpoint it should be clear, in editing mode a lot of the graphics are covered up so it won't make sense.

Hi, I tried the paper aeroplane game with Grade 2 (all girls) and they weren't very enthralled so have changed my L2 week 2 to a lucky wheel game, I got this from another thread on here.  Hopefully they'll like this more!

AHHH! Finally I found the book I'm using...I was starting to think no one used this book anymore or something. I've never had to "lesson" plan from a book before and even though I'm teaching all 3 levels of middle school English, I've only been given the Grade 1 books. >.>? lol. Thanks! I look forward to seeing what you guys have done to "plan" a lesson. I'm doing the listening, speaking, and function file/games pages. And 2 pages are supposed to take me 45min... :o WTF lol.

I'm still on lesson 2 as I have been told I only need to finish lesson 3 by the end of April for Midterms, so I'm taking things slow.
I am currently making my lessons for Lesson 3, so will post them when they're ready.

So here is my lesson for Grade 1 lesson 3 part 1.
It's fairly basic.
I'm not sure if the secret message thing at then end will work or not.
I couldn't think of anything else to true with my class. I teach at all girls schools so I'm trying to cater for that (hence the bright colors).
Anyway, check it out and feedback would be great, if you use part of it and find out what works etc
Cheers

I will probably be changing a few things around before I actually teach it too.

I love these, though they are too late for my classes.  I'll link to them in my saved lessons for next year.  Keep up the good work!

So I looked through your ppt and you don't go into part B. Is that for later? I haven't started LEGITLY teaching yet so I am not sure how the listening and speaking parts work with the CD. It kept my attention though with all those colors ahha.

Yeah, I only teach the speaking part of the book and the fun time. So my first lesson is usually part A, 2nd lesson part B, then with a game or something. I dont really enjoy the funtime activities so i usually create a game or borrow ideas off of waygook.
I only use the book/CD program for a small section of my classes. I spend most of the time letting the kids create dialogues and get up acting. I have pretty lively classes which helps not only the kids stay awake, but me too. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
