I liked your PPT Alikaz, but the level of English is way too high for my country kids. I changed some slides, took out the "I hope" and focused almost exclusively on "you're supposed to". I also made a fill-in-the dialogue worksheet for your video, as well as a word search corresponding to my new slides and the video.
At the end of the power point I added some slides for a game based on a Korean drinking game. I just finished playing it with the students, and all the kids absolutely loved it. Even the bad boys were really into the game. Basically hand each team a wide plastic cup, a soju shot glass, and a bottle of water. Students fill the cup half-way with water, then float the shot glass in the cup. The first student looks at the 6 possible sentences listed in the PPT, makes a sentence using "you're supposed to", then pours a small amount of water in the shot glass. Then, the cup is passed to the next student. The student who sinks the shot glass is the loser. I had the losers sit in their seat and do a chicken dance. The kids will act like they don't want to do it, but as long as you act like a clown and do it before them, they will give in and do it for the sake of the game......Once again, this game turned out awesome! Beware of some small water spills, but overall the best session I've had with third year!

In my slide I mention dice. I decided to play without the dice due to the level of the students, plus it really wasn't necessary. Up to you.

That sound like an excellent game idea....!!

I've played that game loads but never thought of bringing it into the classroom, I will now though!!

It has been a while since I posted a lesson, I better put one up. These are my lessons for Lesson 4. There is not much new or original in them. Also most all of the materials came from this thread. There are Xtranormal videos in with the Grade 3 lesson that might be useful.

Thanks to everyone whose materials I borrowed. They have been a great help to me.

Hey everyone. Hope you've enjoyed whatever desk warming you've had over the midterms.

Here are my lessons for lesson 4.

As usual, I have broken the speaking section up into 2 parts.

Part 2 will be done for next week.

Obviously I haven't taught these lessons yet, so no doubt they will change slightly over the week, but feel free to have a look and use any parts you want^^

1st Grade Lesson 4.1

I haven't taught this lesson yet, but am posting it up now in case somebody needs it today.

I've rehashed a few other PPT's so the content isn't totally original, but I've included a worksheet and small role play to go along with the textbook stuff.

My kids always mess up the distinction between this/these, a/some, and it/they so I'm gonna spend a little time reviewing that, too.

Here's the worksheet for grade 1.
I forgot to add it last night.
Just cut it into 3 if you plan to use it.

Here's an activity I did with my third graders, a fun one away from the book.  It's an acting game, students see a movie clip and an English quote to go with it and they have to act it out.  All my classes have around thirty-six kids, I run it like this: Six teams of six, every team has person one through six, we watch a clip, I roll a die to see which person has to act it out.  So, if I roll a three every person three takes turns acting and I judge the winner or winners.

Feel free to play around with it, repost it, whatever.  Let me know if you have any ideas about new categories or better clips.  And there is one clip from the movie Kickass that's borderline inappropriate, use it at your discretion.

Here is a worksheet I modified from other people's worksheets for Grade 2 Lesson 4 Listening.

The students have to name their restaurant and decide what to put on their menu (name, price and picture).

I printed the worksheet as double-sided so after the allotted time, students will practice the dialogue on the back of their menu and write down what they ordered at the three restaurants.

2nd Grade Lesson 4.1

I'm tired of hearing about bibimbap so I changed the theme of this lesson to steak, and the kids practice using a real Outback menu (on the worksheet).

I've used bits from other PPT's (especially the minesweeper game) so thanks to everyone I stole from!

Thanks for this! I tried it with my third grade girls but they were either shy or wiped out from the 90 F weather.

Yeah, it can be hit or miss.  I teach girls as well, some classes there is a lot of passing, but some get really into it.  "Hey Stella!" seems to hit every time for some reason, it's my go-to if the class is dragging.

Here is a warm up / listening activity for Grade 1, Chapter 4.

It's a gap fill activity for the song You Belong With Me, by Taylor Swift.

It mentions different types of clothing.

I played once just audio, and then again showed them the video to help them fill in the gaps.

Many students enjoyed the video especially the girls.

This will take up around 10/12 Mins! Good luck!

Sorry I need help with grade 3 lesson 4.  Thanks I'll use that idea for the other class. :)
I've attached my PPT and Lesson Plans for part A & B of lesson 4.
Part A is obligations - You're supposed to....[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IlOxnTbpK4]
Part B is forgetting and expressing hope - Did you remember to...I forgot about that...I hope....[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh78dW99itE]

There is a game in the 2nd part of Lesson B, students have to create a conversation 2 people are having in a scenario. It's difficult, but pretty good fun.

Great work as always Alikaz!!!  ;)

Here are my next weeks lesson for Chapter 4, Part 2.

Grade 1 and Grade 2.

I have put together, added and changed some of the original PPT's listed here, so all credit goes to those who put the time and effort in. I have also added some of my own activties/games in there too, so feel free to use!!!

G1 is all about Clothing. There is the main PPT and a flashing sentence game to finish.
The Clothing worksheet is for the students to fill in as they go through the lesson. Seperate in half, so each pair has a different sheet.
The fashion challenge instructions are given on the slide.
The listening activity is the taylor swift song.

G2 is a combination of some other PPT's.
First we look at the measurements and some more restaurant dialogue, then restaurants around the world.
Print off the outback menu and the other menu (double sided) for the activities and games at the end of the PPT.
Also a 3 round minesweeper game in there (credit to RUFUS).

happy hunting!
