Here is my review. I only have the first level finished, though - I've been really busy this weekend.

Aarolye. Could you possibly upload the game you created again. It's not downloading for me. It is stuck on 0.2MB, not sure why. Thanks

Try again now. I re-attached it. Here is the version with level 2 included.

HEy! Here's a review for Grade 1 Lessons 6, 7, and 8, focusing mostly on the function file.

Kids love k-pop at my school, so I borrowed from the original k-pop slam game and another k-pop guessing game, to give team bonuses.

Went over really well today.

If anyone would like the answers to the guessing game, seeing as the songs are a little old, let me know.

The PPT is a little too big to upload here because of the embedded audio, so here is the download link:

How the heck are people uploading to the server? I've been trying from three different computers for about a week, and keep receiving this error message:

Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server administrator for more information.

Here is my review for first grade. Note that I kind of got lazy in some questions because making up thirty questions on the spot is draining.

Yeah I had that too trying to upload the above review game. The max is around 45 MB i think, and my PPT was around 36. Been able to post PPT's of up to 15 MB, though. So yeah anyways, it's not only you.

Thanks to Alikaz for his ever useful video contribution! I'm not actually using the textbook in my classes any more but am still following the topics loosely to give the kids more practice. Alikaz's videos are a godsend and I've been using them in classes for all grades this week.

Anyway here's what I'm doing with 2nd grade this week. It's for lesson 8 and practices "Have you heard about....?"

It is midterm test this week in my school so here is my review lessons and games for Grades 1, 2 and 3.  They cover chapters 7 8 and 9. I have been trying to share the ppts I made all week, but I'm having problems uploading them. Seems to be a problem for a few of us. Anyway I put them in a shared dropbox folder if anybody want to use them.

They cover:

Grade 1 Lessons 7, 8 & 9 (Review lesson and Gangnam Style bomb game)
Grade 2 Lessons 7 & 8 (Review lesson and Jeopardy Game)
Grade 3 Lessons 7, 8 & 9 (Jeopardy game)

Hi all.

I've adapted some of the other games and quizzes into a gangnam style game. It's for G1 and G2 covering lessons 7 and 8, as that what will be tested.

All credit to those who designed and prepared the previous games, i've simply added new questions and changed some stuff over.

Feel free to use it, these games are going down really well so far!

Also there was some issues with the initial PPT of the original Gangnam style game, this one should work fine.

Also remember to put the sound files in the same folder too.

This is my lesson for Grade 2 Lesson 9- What makes English rich? Much of the material was found on a thread for a different book and was created by user HappyCamel, so a big thank you to them. I have changed it slightly so they would suit the lesson better. The lesson is centered on doing favours.

I also include the favors bomb game. I found it on this tread before, but had to change some of the favours asked, because my MS students are too cool/shy/lazy/embarrassed to do them. I have left in the one where they must dance for the class but I have yet to have a student who will do it!!

Has anyone done Grade 3 Lesson 8, part B?  There was a 'debate' section in my old text book last year and the kids struggled with it, I mean they couldn't even sort out for and against arguments for simple statements.
Just wondering what you did in your class and how well it went? Anyone have a powerpoint/ materials I could take a quick peek at? :-s

Ho, I just finished a debate class with G3.

I did it as so -
Ss sit in 2 teams of 2.
1 team will argue for one team against a set topic.
Give the Ss a topic to debate e.g. computer games.
Give Ss 3mins to prepare notes/think of ideas.
Ss debate for 3mins, passing a straw every time they make a point,
The team holding the straw at the end r the losers.

Ss really enjoyed it and even though some cannot form long, detailed arguments everyone was at least speaking (shouting by the end!)

I've attached the ppt, ignore the first few slides, they relate to another activity. Let me know if u have any Qs.

What’s everyone doing for Grade3 lesson 10A? I had an activity yesterday where I’d spell out a word, ie: “Is M-A-G-N-E-T-I-C-K the correct spelling of magnetic?” Teams then had to choose between 2 cards to raise: one with a red cross, or one with a green check. Correct teams got a point. They were not that into it though. Then again they’re not much into anything these days ::)

This is the lesson I used for Grade 1 Lesson 10 Do you like music?. It covers musicians and instruments. As usual I got most of the materials from different places in this site, so a big thanks to all.

There is a game at the end, brainstorm rummy. It worked well with the higher level classes, but not so much with the lower ones (granted I was trying to explain it by myself with no help from CT!!)
